Getting started
Go to pooltrack-app.goodfield.studio to create an account or sign in. The steps are the same for both:
- Enter your email address.
- We email you a one-time code. The message comes from Cloudflare Access, the service that protects the sign-in. Enter the code to continue. It works once and expires after a short time, so ask for a new one if it has lapsed.
- The first time only, enter your name and agree to the Terms of use and Privacy policy.
There is no password. Each sign-in sends a fresh code, so use the same email address every time to see your own tests. Each account sees only its own tests, recordings and reports.
If the code does not arrive, check your spam or junk folder, confirm the address is typed correctly and try again. Still stuck? Use the form above or email hello@goodfield.studio.
Recording guidance
Keep the whole pool visible where possible, use landscape orientation, avoid digital zoom and record the original-speed file. A fixed camera gives the clearest map, although PoolTrack can assess manageable handheld movement.
Large recordings
Uploads resume if interrupted: reselect the same file to continue. On iPhone, uploads continue in the background. Keep your original recording as a separate backup until you have your report.
Unclear pool boundary
Add a separate photograph showing the complete pool. PoolTrack will estimate an outline and ask the tester to review the video-to-pool alignment before interpreting the map.
Unexpected tracking
Inspect the restricted source footage and detector boxes. Glare, depth, partial visibility and camera movement can interrupt continuity. Automated percentages describe observation continuity, not proven detection accuracy.
Deleting a test
Open the test, choose Delete test and workspace files, then use the visible confirmation. This removes the PoolTrack workspace copy and related records. It does not remove the original recording stored elsewhere.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. Sign in to the dashboard, choose Account, then Delete my account and type DELETE to confirm. The PoolTrack app offers the same option in its account settings.
Deleting permanently removes your tests, recordings, pool photos, reports, analyses and the account itself from PoolTrack. It cannot be undone. If an analysis or upload is still running, cancel or finish it first. Recordings stored elsewhere are not affected, and signing in again later with the same email address starts a new, empty account, without another 7 days of PoolTrack Pro.
Deleting your account does not cancel a PoolTrack Pro subscription, because Apple bills it. If you have one, cancel it first at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or in the app under Settings, then PoolTrack Pro, then Manage subscription.
If you cannot sign in, email hello@goodfield.studio from the address on the account and we will help.
PoolTrack Pro
What is included. Every new account includes 7 days of PoolTrack Pro with no payment details, starting when you finish setting up your account. After that, creating tests, uploading recordings and starting analyses need a PoolTrack Pro subscription. You can always view, download and delete your tests and delete your account. Each person and email address gets the 7 days once; deleting your account and signing up again does not start another 7 days.
How to subscribe. The iPhone app is currently in beta; ask for an invite in the PoolTrack for iPhone section below. Then open the PoolTrack iPhone app, then Settings, then PoolTrack Pro, then See plans. Choose monthly or yearly and confirm with Apple. Payment is made through your Apple Account; PoolTrack cannot take payment on the website. Subscribing during the first 7 days starts your paid subscription straight away. One subscription unlocks the app and the web dashboard for the same account.
I subscribed but the website still says my trial ended. Open the app signed in to the same account, go to Settings, then PoolTrack Pro, and tap Restore Purchases. Then reload the website. If it still looks wrong after a few minutes, email hello@goodfield.studio from your account address.
Restoring or moving a subscription. Tap Restore Purchases in the app. An Apple subscription is linked to one PoolTrack account at a time, so restoring while signed in to a different PoolTrack account moves it to that account.
Cancel or change a subscription. Go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions, or open the app and choose Settings, then PoolTrack Pro, then Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting your PoolTrack account does not cancel it.
Refunds. Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. See support.apple.com/118223.
PoolTrack for iPhone
The PoolTrack iPhone app records and uploads your footage (uploads continue in the background), sends a notification when your report is ready and is where you subscribe to PoolTrack Pro. It is in beta on Apple’s TestFlight and is coming to the App Store.
To get an invite, use the enquiry form above, choose the topic iPhone app beta access and give the email address you will use with Apple. You do not need the app to create an account, view your tests or use the web dashboard during the free 7 days.
